SSI Freediving Level 3 (40m)

COURSE INFO

This course is the beginning of the rest of your freediving journey! You are introduced to equalisation with mouthfill, allowing you to dive safety below your residual volume.

We aim to increase your awareness around the finer details of equalisation and provide you with the knowledge and tools to keep training after the course.

We also introduce you to exhale diving which is a great way to increase your adaptation to deeper water and to train your equalisation technique even with limited depth available! 

During the course we will cover:

• Mouth-Fill Equalisation
• Functional Residual Capacity (FRC) Diving
• Full Lung Stretching
• Empty Lung Stretching with Reverse Packing
• Advanced Relaxation & Mental Training Techniques

  Student Prerequisites:

  To enrol in an SSI Freediving Level 3 course you must be at least 18 years old. You must also have completed the SSI Freediving Level 2 course, or equivalent with another recognised agency.

   

  Performance Requirements

  • Static Apnea | 3:30
  • Dynamic Apnea | 75 meters
  • Dynamic Blackout Rescue | 2–4 meters
  • Dive Line Pull Rescue | 20 meters
  • Constant Weight | Mouth-Fill and Free Fall | 30 meters
  • Deepwater Blackout Rescue | Rescue Depth | 20 meters
